Emerald Entertainment's next theatrical production will be a dramatic/inspirational stage play "The Repossessed Woman". It is being performed at the elegant Fairfield Banquet and Convention Center at Tori's Station in Fairfield, Ohio.

 

Synopsis: 

What do you do when you're a mega superstar diva who has everything: money, cars, jewerly, mansions, fame and men? For "Star" Sparks the ultimate diva you own more! "The Repossessed Woman" is a two act dramatic/inspirational stage play about "Star" who becomes a mega superstar overnight through the help of others and as she reaches "Star"dom she forgets who she really is literally. This riveting play of arrogance, deceit and ruthless behavior comes to a crushing blow when the "Star" begin to fall from heavens and takes a crushing blow on humanity.

 

Written by Greg Stallworth, Cincinnati's premiere playwright who has brought you the classics such as "Mama Can't Save You, But The Lord Can", "Double Deceived", 'I'd Rather Be An Old Man's Sweetheart" and "Eve in Paradise" brings you again one of his signature stage plays that you don't want to miss! Greg's awesome production "Double Deceived" is up for consideration for main stage production at the 2007 National Black Theater Festival being held in Winston Salem, North Carolina on July 30-August 4th.

 

This play is directed by Terri Slaughter who also plays the role of "Star" Sparks. Some of you may remeber Terri in her starring role as Marva in "Mama Can't Save You, But the Lord Can" and as Gorgeous "Foxy" Rocquemore in the romantic comedy "I'd Rather Be An Old Man's Sweetheart" and her blockbuter performance as Marcella in "Double Deceived." Also starring is Cincinnati's own Jeff Shelby who wrote the highly acclaimed stage play "Curfew" about the civil unrest in Cincinnati, Ohio. Also performing is Cincinnati's most up and coming young talent Asia Miller known for her blockbuster performance as "Sheila" in "Double Deceived."
